What a fun and beautiful session! This client opted for morning light and we were not sorry about that. Love this golden light!

The crust! One of my favorite pieces from @dancemojave s Spring production - The Wild Stages. They had live music and it was gorgeous. Cryptobiotic crust is actually a foundation of our beautiful desert and a big reason to stay on the trails! It can take 10-100 years to regenerate according to @wonderingmojave , who is an excellent guide if you are looking for a tour. I don't think I have ever learned so much in one hour. 💕 @desertmama @kimibalanced @ejmcrowe @thestyledproperty

Moving to the desert was always on my radar, but once I ended up in Chicago it seemed like a goal that would never happen. In 2011, by way of failure (🤣 ) I ended up back home in Southern California living with my parents (eeek). By the end of that year, with massive effort and grit Shaun and I landed our first place in Palm Desert. Now we live in Yucca Valley. We are coming up on 15 years as desert folk. It is healing. It is magic. It is a bunch of dirt and rocks, and it is now home.
